THE HIMALAYAS

The Himalayas are one of the greatest Natural Wonders on Earth. Even a lifetime is too short to explore this vast and desolate landscape. After the North and the South Pole, the Himalayas are the third-largest storehouse of snow in the world. Hence, it is aptly called the Third Pole. These ranges comprise 10 of the 14 Eight-Thousander Peaks of the world.  Due to its inaccessible terrain and tempestuous weather conditions, the region has endured fewer footprints compared to other parts of the world. This remoteness is a boon and a bane at the same time. While it has kept itself isolated from human encroachment to a large extent, very little research has gone into saving its incredible biodiversity. This section focuses on showcasing some of the most elusive wildlife of this fragile but unique ecosystem that has been rarely photographed in the wild.
